Directions to POST 1291:

From I 24, Take Briley Parkway east towards Opryland/Airport.

From 140, Take Briley Parkway (On Airport side/East of Nashville) towards Opryland.

Lebanon Road is 2nd exit from I-40 on Briley and the 2nd exit from Opryland Mall from the North.

Turn towards downtown (NOT towards Hermitage). This will be a right from the North (Opryland) and left from South (Airport). Post 1291 is approximately a mile from Briley on the left side and the Flags are prominently displayed.

Whether you are a visiting VFW member of another Post or a newly qualified member of the Armed Forces, Post 1291 welcomes you.

As of 26 June 2008, we have 453 members, including 24 new Members and 296 Life Members. 1 New Member and 1 Reinstated since May ‘08

If you are an American Citizen, who has served in a qualified combat zone, including Korea, Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom and earned an Honorable Discharge or continue to serve Honorably, you qualify for VFW Membership. If you're still serving, your first year's dues are on us. Internet Membership Application

If you are related to a qualified Veteran, Contact our Men's Auxiliary or Ladies Auxiliary to become a Member of an Organization doing Great Things for our Troops and our Community.

But relaxing with those that know is only a part of what the VFW is about.

This Post as with the entire VFW Organization exists to ensure the needs of our Current Brothers in Arms are met.

The VFW Unmet Needs Program helps our Troops Families.

The Fisher House helps meet the needs of the Families of Wounded Warriors.

We're open 7 days a week from approximately 11AM - 10PM

The Post offers a relaxed atmosphere where you are at home amongst fellow Warriors.

Whether you want a friendly game of pool, darts, shuffleboard or just a cold brew, we're the place to visit.

Sundays are Sports Day!

During the NASCAR Season, it reigns king on the Big Screen.

In the Fall, it's the Titans turn on the Big Screen. Whatever the Season, you're sure to find Sports on Sunday.

Tuesdays we have a pool tournament at 7PM.

Wednesdays it really gets cranking with a Dance Club that rents the Hall (new members welcome), a Shuffleboard Tournament and the best Karaoke Singers in town at 7PM.

Thursdays the competition gets fierce in the Dart Tournament. See Burt to get a spot at 7PM.

Fridays the Karaoke singers are proving their stuff again while others compete in the Shuffleboard Tournament. 7PM to Midnight.

Saturdays the Highway 40 Band demonstrate their talents with Live Country Music of all ages. The Reviews have been grand but we'll keep them until the Professionals snag them up to play in the Majors! 7PM til ??
